Today was interesting. Yes, he hit the high notes re: the economy and how to get us out of our recession.
What really touched me was the emotion from the homeless woman, and Obama's instinctive and natural desire to comfort her. That moment was a window into the heart of our president. I simply cannot visualize the previous president having such a thought or feeling.
It's a relief to have a thinking feeling person running our country.
Thoughts about politics and more, both practical and pragmatic, with more than a little "this is the way I see it" thrown in.

Obama's Press Conference
No news yet. Both the president and the press are pussy-footing around. Let's hope we make some news tonight
OK, some news. Well, not exactly news, but a nice calling out by Obama. He laid blame on the Republicans - right where it belongs.
Now Obama's having to walk back some stupid statement made by VP Joe.
So the bottom line? This guy is good, really good. I want to feel a little sorry for the Republicans...but they simply don't deserve it.

Inauguration Day
Tomorrow is going to be a great day.
First of all our 8 year long Bush nightmare is finally coming to an end. I would not have believed 8 years could last so long.
More importantly though, we are inaugurating a Democrat. And a "minority" at that. Better yet, for the Democratic Party we were going to nominate either a black man or a woman. We had a win win out there from the beginning.
On top of that, we sent Palin packing - if only she would stay there!!
I'll have more to say tomorrow.
